
The APB opens a tender for the bar-restaurant in the Port Centre building in the port of Palma
The concession will have a maximum duration of eighteen years and includes more than 1,200 m² of indoor and outdoor space

The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) passed a resolution, in its latest meeting held yesterday in Palma, to approve the specifications and clauses that will govern the public tender for the management of a bar-restaurant situated in the Punta del Gas in the port of Palma.
The aim of the tender is to select the most advantageous proposal for the operation of this space, which includes both the building and a large outdoor area for a terrace, located entirely in the public domain of the port. In total, the area of use is just over 1,260 square metres, of which 220 square metres are taken up by the building with 1,040 square metres of open-air area, of which 200 square metres are covered by removable elements.
The concession-holder company must provide bar-café and restaurant services and may propose other additional services within the same scope. In addition, it will be obliged to adapt the space according to the business model, while respecting the surrounding environment.
The concession will have a maximum duration of eighteen years and will entail the payment of an occupancy fee of 80,000 euros per year, as well as an activity fee amountin to 4% of the turnover.
