The Board of Directors of the Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) has agreed, in its last session, to extend the term and renewal of the concession of the Royal Nautical Club of Palma (RCNP), in execution of the sentence issued by the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands (TSJIB) and once all the procedures and mandatory reports required by current regulations have been completed.

With this agreement, the APB completes a complex procedure that has been developed over the last few years and that has required the intervention of various advisory and administrative bodies. The approved resolution reflects the APB's commitment to complying with court rulings, ensuring legal certainty, and maintaining stability in the management of port facilities.

Following the TSJIB ruling, the APB decided not to file an appeal, considering that the public interest was better served by executing the court ruling and continuing the club's activity. From that moment, the necessary procedures were initiated to complete the file, requesting again the required report from State Ports agency and verifying compliance with all the established technical and economic requirements.

The favourable report issued by State Ports last May has allowed the proposal to be submitted to the Board of Directors, which was then approved.

The extension and renewal of the concession is subject to compliance with the investments committed by the club and the conditions established by State Ports, whose monitoring will be the responsibility of the technical services of the Balearic Port Authority throughout the validity of the concession.

With this decision, the APB reinforces its commitment to responsible management of the port's public domain, based on respect for the legal framework, institutional collaboration and legal certainty for all operators who conduct their activity in the ports of general interest in the Balearic Islands.
