The Balearic Island’s Port Authority (APB) has received the ISO 9001 quality seal by AENOR, which certifies that the institution has implemented a quality management system that is committed to continuous improvement.

At the APB works are done following processes that are continually analysed and revised and that are based on continuous improvement and on offering a better service to the client. These are the main principles of the institution, so the whole staff participates in the procedures.

The Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has been certified with the AENOR 14001:2015 seal of quality and has extended the scope of the Quality Management System certification in accordance with standard ISO 9001:2015, which both validate that the institution has a quality management system based on the principles of quality and continuous improvement.

This certificate is added to the initial one received by the APB in 2015 for its quality management system and the aim is to enhance the functioning of these two management systems and merge them into one integrated management system covering the areas of quality and environment. Rolling out these management systems will enable the APB to sustainably meet its aims, seeking the maximum satisfaction of its clients and striving for excellence in the services it provides.

The Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has earned certification for its document management system under standard UNE-ISO 30301:2011 for the following activities which it manages electronically: • Processes for calling and holding Board of Directors meetings. • Customer billing processes. • Processes for managing securities and certifications. • Procurement process. • Processes for documenting and supervising management systems.
